Trip to Naro Moru.

Letter from Juliet to Grandma & Grandad 30 June 1977 –

We are going to Naro Moru at the foot of Mt Kenya this weekend because the Mountain Club is having it’s Annual Dinner there. So we will be with our friends Brian and Guri Thomas and Jack, Faith, Jackie and Heather Charity. I hope the weather will stay fine for us.

This morning we did a lot of packing as we were going to Naro Moro River Lodge. The journey there was long but very beautiful, especially on the deviation when you had to go over lots of valleys and the road had lots of hairpin bends. It was super there; we stayed in a cottage near a swing and a fabulous tree house. There was a river just down the hill where you could paddle across to the other side. We had a tremendous amount of fun there.

We walked along the river to where a tree leant over the river because we wanted to try and climb it to get over the river to the other side. We had a lot of fun and walked a long way.
